Data Integrity Specialist
Prepares and reviews materials related to electronic medical records to ensure that they are accurate and complete. Gathers and enters data into various clinical application and data bases. May provide other clerical assistance to department as needed. Works with manager, physicians and provider offices to identify and resolve any health records data quality and integrity issues.
1.Prepares paper charts for transition to electronic record by identifying which documents need to be scanned and ensures accurate patient identifiers are on each page.
2.Monitors receipt of documents and follows-up with internal/external customers for missing documentation. Collects missing or required data to enter in various clinical applications and/or databases.
3.Reviews the E-HR to identify the appropriate data from system (orders, Eligibility note, CTI, face to face document) to generate plan of care and routes to provider for signature.
4.Imports and updates clinical applications when orders, plan of care and face to face Health Maintenance documentation is received.
5.Enters accurate provider demographics in multiple clinical application from system generated report and as reported by other departments
License, Certification, Education or Experience:
REQUIRED for the position:
•High School graduate or equivalent
•1 year previous experience in a medical/office setting
•Proficient in Medical Terminology
•Ability to type 40 WPM with a high degree of accuracy
•Ability to function independently and to organize work and establish priorities
•Experience or educational courses in data entry, computer literacy, general office procedures and office equipment
