Senior Network Architect
EvergreenHealth is looking for a Senior Network Architect working full-time in our Information Technology department located in Kirkland, Washington.

Responsible for maintaining the design and integrity of EvergreenHealth's internal network, including customer-facing environments. Provides expert technical assistance to team members with high-level system and networking requests. Responsible for designing, testing, implementing and supporting complex infrastructure aligned with the requirements of EvergreenHealth's business and clinical environment spread across multiple campuses and physical locations.
Ensures that EvergreenHealth best practices and methodologies are applied to design, deployment and operations of core route/switch Campus and data center networks. Provides technical design guidance and leadership to the customer and project engineering teams and ensures project timelines are being met. Functions as the technical point of contact for the vendor, customer, and leadership and provides design, migration and deployment guidance.
1.Creates High & Low Level design of data center networks and core networks utilizing industry best practices and Cisco hardware to include: Cisco enterprise level L3 switching and Nexus 9K/7K/5K/2K platforms
2.Leads the delivery of network design solutions including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers and other network appliances
3.Leads network architecture design for network infrastructure
4.Designs network performance monitoring and metrics to ensure optimal network performance and ongoing improvement
5.Conducts research on network products, services, protocols, and standards to remain abreast of developments in the networking industry
6.Maintains a thorough inventory of network related assets including depreciable and useful life; Recommends refresh and replacement requirements in support of annual operating and capital budgeting processes
7.Provides SME services to Project Managers to identify new products and solutions, and research solutions for existing systems
8.Communicates with colleagues and leadership as required: keeping them informed of network roadmap/technology changes
9.Coaches and mentors other engineers
10.Serves as an escalation point for all things Network related
11.Performs other duties as assigned.
License, Certification, Education or Experience:
REQUIRED for the position:
•Bachelor's degree in technical and/or business related field or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
•10 years of experience in a network engineering/support position
•8 years of experience in designing architectures of large-scale networks
•5 years of experience in designing VoIP architectures in large-scale networks
•Extensive experience with Nexus 9K/7K/5K/2K
•Logical design models (L2/L3, VPC, VDC, Datacenter Zones, Spanning tree, VRF, VTP, VLANs, physical cabling)
•SD-WAN (IWAN, Viptela) implementation and migration
•configuration management of networking devices using automation tools (APIC-EM, Cisco Prime) and API scripting with Python
•Cisco Catalyst and Nexus Switching (Capacity Planning & VLANs)
•Cisco Routing (OSPF, BGP)
•WAN Technology (MPLS, VPN)
•Cisco ASA/Firepower firewalls
•Working technical knowledge of network control protocols (QOS, PfR, PoE, NTP, DHCP), network management protocols (CDP, FTP, TFTP, SNMP) and security protocols (SSH, HTTPS, AAA, IPSec, TrustSec).
•Strong knowledge of IP communication and routing (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP).
•Understanding of WAN/LAN and transport technologies (Ethernet, Frame Relay, DMVPN, WAAS and MPLS).
•In-depth knowledge of BGP and OSPF routing protocols
•Expertise in F5 security to include but not limited to LTM, APM, WAF, AFM, and GTM
•Able to conduct research into networking issues and products
•Self-starter with the ability to effectively prioritize tasks, deliver timely resolutions and see projects to completion
•Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills with the ability to work well in a collaborative environment. Strong relationship building skills conducive to team development

•Proven analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly and accurately ascertain risks and form responses.

DESIRED for the position:
•Experience with inter-company routing
•Experience with Cisco partner post sales consulting
•Knowledge or experience with Nexus 9K and ACI
•Knowledge or experience with F5 load balancing, Palo Alto technologies, Cisco UCS, or Cisco MDS
•Certifications in CCNP, CCIE R&S and/or Data Center
